About Me

In 2002, I started working for a local hospital revamping and creating new Maternal Education programs after my two year old daughter told me to go play with friends. In this position, I dove head first into my work becoming educated and certified in everything that would make me a better childbirth educator. In 2003, I met three wonderful Doulas at a conference and became a two year old asking tons of questions about "what is a Doula." For the next year, I found myself working more and more with the mothers during my rotations in Labor and Delivery. I realized there was only so much that I could teach in my childbirth classes and decided to go after my Doula certification. I've never looked at being a doula as a profession, but a purpose to help a mother achieve whatever birth experience she hopes to have.

I have been a Certified Doula since 2004 and have been blessed with clients birthing at all of the surrounding Waco area Hospitals.

Even though I am Lamaze Certified, I truly believe the more information we know; i.e Bradley, Lamaze, HypnoBirth.. the more creative the partner and I can be at the time of birth, we don't know what mom's birth is going to be like until she is in labor. My goal is to educate mother and partner on everything surrounding childbirth, empower women and to create loving birth memories.
